How do I get access to a brand ?

To get access to a brand or artwork on the e-seeŽ system you need to have been give access by at least one brand manager (e-see does not give you access).
If you need access, contact the brand manager concerned and request access. If you already have access to one brand but want access to another brand on the system, then logon with your existing user name and password.
Then search for the brand you want and click on the Brand Managers name. The e-see system will automatically generate an access request to the brand manager. The brand manager must answer your request by either giving you access (can be limited access) or by declining you access.

What is the difference between a Contributor, User and Brand Manager ?

e-seeŽ classifies users who interact with the system as follows.

  • User is the individual person who is granted access to the system in order to download data.
  • Brand Manager is the individual person nominated by the Contributor to manage access to the Contributor's brands.

Which is the right file type to download ?

When you download data from the e-seeŽ system you must select a file type to download. You should know what file type you need depending on the purpose or application you are intending to use. For example, if you want place a logo in a word processing document you should choose the  PICT /BMP file type in the e-seeŽ download screen.  If you're not sure which file type you need, read the File Types Guide or consult your organisation's system administrator.

I am having trouble logging on, what do I do?

Make sure you are using the correct user name and password. Ensure that you are entering "0" (zeroes) or  "o" (o's) where applicable. Are you using the correct password? Is it the correct user name (check your e-see user card). If you still can't get in or you have lost your user name and password, then email the helpdesk at help@e-see.com detailing your problem.

Why can't I open a CMYK colour JPEG ?

If you have download a CMYK variant JPEG file and your default application for viewing JPEGS is your internet browser (e.g Explorer or Netscape), then when you click on the file to open it, the browser will attempt to display the image. This is fine for RGB colour images, however with a CMYK colour image, all you'll get is a little rex "X" or something similar. Web Browsers do not support CMYK colour images. There is nothing wrong with the file, you just need an application that supports CMYK image viewing. Most graphics applications support CMYK. e.g Photoshop, Illustrator, Corel Draw, Freehand, etc. You can also place the file into Microsoft Word, and other applications.
